Project
A major component of 6.829 is a term project that incorporates some
networking research. You can either pick from our suggested list and
build on it, or come up with your own ideas and run them by us.
First read these project
logistics.
Next, check out the list of suggested
projects.
You will need to get an MIT certificate to read these files.
Please do not place a copy of the suggestions list anywhere else on
the Web. Thanks!
You might find the projects done in previous
years useful.
Here are list of resources you might find useful while doing your project.
Schedule for project meetings on Thursday (9/22) is posted here.
Final Project Papers
Your final project report should be a maximum of 10 pages (11 point
font, two-column format), including all appendices, references, and
figures. Your paper MUST include citations in some reasonable format
(e.g., ACM, IEEE, etc.). We will only accept papers in PDF
format. If you are creating your report in LaTeX (recommended),
you can use the following template files if you like:
example.tex,
IEEEtran.cls,
IEEE.bst.
You should submit your paper online on the 6.829 Stellar
website (you'll need an MIT
certificate to access the site). Click on "Homework", then "Final
Project Paper" (or here is a direct
link), and then "add submission". Only one person per group should
submit the final report. It is due by 3 p.m. on Thursday,
December 15th. You may submit multiple versions -- we will grade
the last submission timestamped before the deadline.
We also request that you upload your presentation slides to this
website, either in PPT or PDF format. Click on "Homework" and then
"Presentation slides" (direct
link).
